Automata - Carousel

About

Challenged to make a automata using simple laser cut mechanisms for the second project of my Mechanical Prototyping class, I built a small working carousel. While not the traditional way carousels motion is achieved, I knew going into this project I wanted to use a stationary cam, seen in the base of the automata

• Solidworks - Design, animation, and rendering was done in Solidworks
• Laser Cutter - Used to cut hardboard for the entirety of the project
• SLA Printing - Used to print the horses
• Illustrator - Decomposed image into vector traces
